And Here's The Offending Part

A genuine Dyson tool catch that goes on my DC25. And as stated in the warning, "Wash hands after handling".

Absolutely hilarious! How do you left-coasters feel about this?

My Kirby Avalir has that same California warning-guess Dysons,Kenmores, and Kirbys are toxix to folks in California.
The other day when I visited my favorite vacuum place, there was a Dyson DC41 on the bench--or was it the autopsy table. The machine was brought in by a customer-says it was only a few years old-the thing had a blown motor!Talk about overengineering-there was a Dixie cup full of screws just to get to the motor! The motor was indeed, fried. The machine was broken down into salable parts. The rest---dumpstered.So much for the pretty Dyson plastic!!!

Dysons toxic to little children that put their hands into the powernozzle of the Dyson-On MSN news, the boy loves watching his Mom vacuum with her Dyson vacuum-model not indicated in the story.Shows that kids can be QUICK-she was getting ready to vacuum another area when the inquisitive child wanted to see how the rollerbrush works the hard way.Severly injured his thumb and finger.I am having trouble linking go to MSN and look for the story of Child severely injured by Moms vacuum cleaner.Hope the boy does become a future VCC member-but needs to keep his paws AWAY from turning beater bar brushrolls!

If you would take the time to Google "California proposition 65 scam" you would learn all about it. All vacuum cleaners must have that warning, including vacuum bags, vacuum belts, and parts, if they are to be sold in California.

Those warning

labels are all over everything in California that contain or maybe may contain any sort of ingredients that may cause any type of a health risk.
They are even posted at swimming pools.
Now, maybe it goes too far, but anyone alive that remembers Love Canal, or the Hinckley California chromium 6 ground water poisoning by PG&E likely isn't bothered by it at all.
Nothing to see here, move along, swim at your own risk, smoke at your own risk.

This reminds me of

Drywall repair stuff I bought a long time ago to fix small nail holes in my wall and re-paint them. It was pink goop that you spread over the area needing repair. I read that same statement on the container and I'm not going to lie, it freaked me out!

The former mining city in Oklahoma is Picher,Oklahoma.Other hazards there-the piles of tailings or "chat" as they call it can contain hazardous amounts of lead, cadmium, and silica.Their mining methods used older technology so more usable material was left in the chat piles. And the town itself was undermined by the mining operations-Aras of the town were getting sinkholes. You can still drive thru the main street of the city-all of the buildings are abandoned-most have been town down and chat piles are being removed. What I read bout that yesterday after some urban explorers went thru the Picher area. The main concerns was the winds in the area would make the fine dust in the chat piles airborn causing people to breath it or get into their mouths and on their skin. The abandoned mines filled with water since their sump pumps were shut off when the mines were closed-causing flooding of the rivers and lakes in the area with contaminated water.People would swim in these and get chemical burns! The property now belongs to the gov't.Some areas have no access because of the hazards-its a Superfund site.
