Do anyone know where I can get a beater bar re-bristled? My 1918 Premier Duplex works great, but only in thicker pile carpets. Thanks.

He does EXCELLENT work and your brush roll will be returned to you in better-than-new condition.

It is helpful if you can send him a photo of the brush attached to an email, give him accurate dimensions, including desired length and number of tufts. Specify what bristle material to use (probably a stiff, black or dark brown horse hair/natural bristle for a vintage brush roll).

Braun brush only restores TUFTED brushes, not crimped, continuous brush strips. For example:

YES: Metal-backed brush inserts for pre-convertible Hoover agitators; brush rolls for pre-beater-bar Hoover uprights; Kirby brushrolls (yes, I know we can still buy them new, but I had a very early one that is metal clad, not just painted silver!)

NO: Brush strip for a Eureka rug tool.

I like to specify a tuft length maybe 1/8-inch-or-so longer than the original. You can always cut them down with a sharp pair of scissors if need be.

Hope that helps!

Marty
