Was out on my walk yesterday and sure enough...neighbors are cleaning out from their holiday purchases as trash piles are high with boxes, old items having been replaced, etc. and I’m beginning to see vacuums being set out for collection on the trash as no doubt a new one was purchased as a holiday gift giving suspicion to the idea that the ones being set out for the trash work just fine but a new one was purchased as an upgrade due to the holidays being an excuse to do so.

Keep your eyes peeled as people will be chucking perfectly good vacuums and some treasures for some are to be had!

Saw a Hoover power drive model (later plastic version) just yesterday. I don’t need it and don’t have room for tub so hopefully someone will get it before the city comes. I wonder what the people got to replace it!

Yes indeed!

This month the dumpster sights are ripe for the pickin'. Then the next time will be the beginning of the moving season, around here that's May, and the tail end of the moving season is September. The large and nicer apartment complexes are typically where I used to "visit" as the turnover is faster than homes in neighborhoods. About 15 of the vacs I own I rescued from beside a large dumpster area.
