Post Christmas cleanup

Help Support VacuumLand:

Replaced bags in my vacuums that were getting full-now ready for the new year!Picking up the pine needles with a Kirby converted to a "canister"--Use the dump bag and then dump the needles into your mulch pile! The fan will sort of grind them up!BUT---beware of tinsel wrapping around the motor shaft and fan blades! As a kid remember picking that up by hand-vacuums choked on the tinsel-and some of it was LEAD!!!I am still alive just fine!!!!

I usually do the post tree cleanup

with a nice 1070 Convertible./ This year, I might use my late aunt's 1076. I took it to North CAnton this past summer and had it restored by Tom.
To be clear, it's Tom Anderson, the ultimate Hoover guy. Some may know, we've been friends since 2008... the brother I should have had.

John, I USUALLY don't put everything away for a good while....this year was different. You're kind! btw, would you have any idea who might have a vintage outer bag for my hoover model 60 since mine is torn?

Texaskirbyguy oh, no sir, this one is my 'gone through' one, its possibly my favorite model.

I've been cleaning since Christmas eve

After the guest left Christmas Eve, I vacuumed with the Hoover React. Since have used the Sirena, the Kirby Ultimate G, the Filter Queen Triple Crown, and Oreck.
Yesterday I finished the post Christmas clean up putting away the Christmas decorations, doing the annual dusting, and finished up with through going over with the Vita-Vac (Air-Way).

I have been using my central vac, I have a few but use 2 a royal 820 tranquility from Evan Rogers, and an MD air-master A650 from Greg Palmer. Those usually do both my heavy duty and light cleaning. I’ll be doing a post holiday cleaning this week which will include putting stuff in the attic, regular house work (bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, laundry etc...)

Didn't do any decorating or have anyone over, this year, but since I've been off for two weeks, I've been organizing and doing a general deep cleaning in certain areas. For that I've been using my Kenmore Progressive canister.
