PLEASE RAINBOW INDENTIFICATION HELP! E2 or E1???

Hey guys! I have had this Rainbow for a while now. I got it at the thrift store a while back. Went through the whole thing and washed the motor fans and everything. Replaced a bunch of stuff. However the thing that confuses me is it has a 2 speed brushless motor in it. But it has E1 graphics and E1 hoses. Sooo is it a VERY early E2 gold or did someone miss match some parts??

You just have an extremely early version of the Type 12. I have the same machine, but I replaced the side decals with the ones usually seen on this model. Very neat find, and still an excellent machine. I got lucky and found mine on Craigslist for $175 back in 2008 when these things were going for $1000 used still! Was feeling rather desperate ti find one that night and BAM there it was, and at a price I could afford no less!

That's the loudest of the two speed models, as it was launched before the sound insulation package came out. Still, a good machine as long as the new revolving fans are used. The original revolving fans were much more shallow and had much less airflow than the newer style 'deep dish' fans they've been using for a decade now.

It does have a very shrill sound to it, despite the new fans, new rotor and upper bearing clamp, and of course installing the sound deadening foam (some will say not to do this, but I just couldn’t stand the noise) it still is a bit rough on the tinnitus. I haven’t used mine once since getting my E2 Black. I’ve heard Rexair purposely made the machine sound like this so people wouldn’t confuse it with a ‘normal’ vacuum. Ironically when they finally pulled their heads out of their behinds and realized people hated the noise, they re-programmed the controllers to fire the stator could more smoothly, and the machine became more powerful.

I have a Rexair model B, model C, Gold model D, normal model D, D3, D4, SE with pn2, E2 gold with the normal decals, E2 blue, and E2 black. Do you think this is one worth keeping or is it just the same thing as a normal E2 gold with the other kind of decals or is it a early one and was meant to have the decals that it does or did someone change them?

Picture that is attached you can see in the background my E2 gold. It's the only photos I have of it right now. Would it be worth keeping the one with the other graphics?
