I've had a couple of sound-systems down thru the years, although good, but nevertheless, the "Pioneer" excels them all - at lest the ones I previously owned. But no doubt, there's a lot of great machines out there. It's hard to believe Tempest Storm is already 86 yrs. old. I came across this "Compact 33 Sampler Disc" which contains a 2012 interview with her - very interesting stories she told about Senator JFK...before he became president, and I mustn't forget the King, Elvis Presley, but I guess many could say the very same...so many sorted stories.

Nice turntable

Although my reciever and tape deck are made by Pioneer, my turntable is made by Fisher, but it's a very nice top of the line unit from the same period as my SX-1080.

By the way, I notice you have Betty Page in your avatar. An aquaintance of mine from some years back used her heavily in his art work. The leading lady for his Rocketeer character was based on her and he was really upset when Disney refused to carry that aspect of the comic through to the film.

One day back in the early 90's I was working in a large used book and magazine store out here in Burbank when I spotted a young lady that bore a striking resemblance to Betty Page wandering through the isles. She even wore the same hair style. When the manager finally commented on the resemblance she admitted that Betty Page was her aunt and that she was out in L.A. with her to attend the Glamour Con.

Thanks....

and Wow, that's fantastic! Here's a photo of the LP and a link to " Apollo " from track three of this album.

I have a pair of vintage RCA headphones, and I too was much surprised how well they sounded. Later, as I discovered, a lot of RCA equipment was assembled with Pioneer components. But even still, I wouldn't mind seeing "Pioneer" written on the outside of them.

It looks like you found "The Eighth Wonder of The World" in that SPEAKER...Fantastic!!!
