Unusual set of parts with it. Not the normal Electrolux parts of that time period.
That's true. Neither do I never seen those tools before. Usually these vacuums come with the "butterfly" dusting/upholstery tool and separate crevice tool.
Also tool storage on the lid is new to me. Motor is 1100 W.
But I think this is late 80's vacuum because the exhaust grille grooves aren't round.
These were very popular in the 80's. Made in Sweden.

I won the bid and now just waiting it to arrive

I've never seen these with storage in the lid before. I have an Electrolux z2020 which is the same design as this, but the came with the butterfly tool which hooks onto the handle and a crevice tool which doesn't store on-board.
From what I remember, the first Electrolux cylinder with the tool flap was the Dolphin in this country.
Perhaps this is a later model that was modified specifically to be sold as a Volta?

This is also first time I see one with the storage lid and 3 separate tools instead of the butterfly tool.
I have one new 3 in 1 butterfly tool which came with my current Electrolux. Only all in one tool which I don't mind to use.
Volta actually is Electrolux, but for some reason they decided to call it Volta in some countries.
According to seller this accepts new fleece S-Bags which are excellent in filtration. Big plus for me.

Now it has arrived. First impressions:
- plastic feels strong and thick
- it is surprisingly heavy
- hose is made of thick material
- very good suction from 1000W motor
- pleasing soft sound, but not quiet
- aggressive (good) cord rewind
Overall better made than majority of the current vacuums, but clunky to use due to the size, weight and heavy and not very flexible hose.
Suction test: It can totally match my new Electrolux

I had an U268 in the beginning of 1990, was very happy with it. Sold it to buy an Electrolux.
Today I have an U280 in my collection. This vacuum cleaners were very popular here. It was one of the first vacuum cleaner to have a microfilter instead of a normal filter. The top model had remote control and a 1400 watt boost function. Here a brochure of 1986 in french

These Volta cleaners were very popular here in the Finland too.
And now I see they did offer powerhead option, but only U-268 and U-280 had the power outlet for it.
I would love to own U-280 model especially with the original powerhead.
And yes I did make power outlet for it to use the powerhead. Connection is now in front where it originally would have been.
I also replaced the old almost cracked hose. I only use new style fabric bags.
I am in the youtube (Vacuumtests) and there is many videos about my Volta U-258.

Model U268/280 had the connection for the powerhead. I have the powernozzle too. Will make some pictures of it. I saw your videos on Youtube. Interesting the changes you made to adapt the Powernozzle.
By the way it is the same Powernozzle as Electrolux ZE5 but without light. I have it in my Youtube channel (Eluxfan71) with the Lux Royal D790

The first Electrolux cylinder cleaner in the UK to have three tools under a lid was the model 326 and 327, known as the "Supair" range. I have found the 327 listed in one of my Which? magazines from May 1984. These cleaners were made in France and were sold in the UK only through Comet. So, technically, the Dolphin would have been the first UK model of Electrolux sold through all stores to have a three piece on-board tool kit, were it not for these two imported models sold through one retailer.

Very nice tools and even place for the spare bag.
Sound in these is very pleasant to the ear. No high pitched scream like too many modern vacs.
Suction is still surprisingly good for the age and build quality far better than nowadays.

Volta U280
Here some pics of the top model U280 with remote control. One picture with the socket for the power nozzle. I found synthetic bags for a lot of old Electrolux cleaner. I run my Z325 from 1975 with this kind of bag.

That cleaner in reply 13 is the same as we had in the UK - never knew about the spaces for bags and instructions! How very clever. It was not uncommon for Electrolux to supply none UK cleaners to the UK to sell as exclusive models for certain retailers and chain stores like Currys and Comet, although historically they were models which had been built here in the UK for the export market. The 326 and 327 were actually imported for Comet, though why I don't know as there was a lot of UK production going on at that time. Perhaps these models had been built for another location and had failed to make it there?
