Over the last few years I've added to my collection and last month I finally got around to taking some pictures. Just got them back today (11/31) from being processed and scanned into my computer, so here they are. All have had the initial wipe-down but will get a more in-depth cleaning and restoration as time allows. First is my Air-Way Sanitizor Model 77 that was a gift from Norm Brown (thanks again Norm!) back in 2009. I posted a pic of it before, but after I got an Attach-A-Carrier with attachments for it on ebay and posted the ebay pic, some of you said you'd like to see one of it hanging on the Air-Way, so here it is.
Next is a Penncrest Convertible Model A117 with cleaning tools. I got this on Sept. 29, 2013 from the estate of a family friend, whom I remember each time I run it. She was its first and only owner and took great care of it, and it runs great. Next is a Hoover Decade 80 Model U4381. It was a trash find, sitting at the curb about 2 blocks from home. My wife Lena picked it up and brought it home in Sept. 2019. Runs great but needs a new belt, bulb, and cord stress relief.
Next is the first of 2 Kirby Heritage II's. My daughter's boyfriend found it in a dumpster in December of 2019 and brought it to me. Runs great and I have since added a hose, attachments with caddy, and instruction book. Only missing the wands. The 2nd Heritage II was also a trash find, found at the curb on May 12 by a guy that was working with my daughter's boyfriend. Newer than the other one, it has the "streamlined" nozzle with the brush rotation sensor. The cord had a bad short in it where it clips to the handle and I have since replaced it, and it runs fine.
Next is a group shot of a Frankenkirby and 2 Filter Queens I found on may 13 at an estate sale. They were in a shed with a sign over them that said "Vacuums, $5 each." Needless to say, I snatched them up real quick! There was also a Dirt Devil there but I left it sit. The first Filter Queen is a model 33, and only had a dusting brush and upholstery nozzle with slider with it, no hose, wands, or any other attachments. Runs good and is quiet, has a cordwinder but the cord should be replaced. I have a rug nozzle and hose on hand for it, just need the wands. The 2nd Filter Queen is a model 31X with power nozzle and is pretty much complete. Runs great and is quiet until you hook up the power nozzle! Did a great job of cleaning and grooming the carpet when I tried it out.
Last but not least, the Frankenkirby! It started out as a D-80, but has a bojack replacement bag, Classic III handle, wheels, and cord, 500 series bumpers, and a Tradition belt lifter. Runs ok but could be better, maybe bearings?
