Here are a few pics of my new toys--Hoover Constellation, Miele Capricorn and Royal MRY8300. (I realize I'm not the best photographer.)

More pics...

Constellation - I really need to learn how to use this digital camera... my carpet is not multi-colored... sigh

Constellation

I really like it too... I just think it's a really fun retro design. It was delivered yesterday, so I haven't used it very much. But, it does seem to have good suction. The power nozzle is air driven, so it's pretty light weight compared with the Miele. I got a good deal on it and am happy to pass along the vendor information if anyone is interested... just let me know.

Great pics, Mike!!

Some great vacs you got there. Didn't know you were going to go ahead and get the Connie, and you even got a Stainless one! The Royal will do an excellent job on your carpets, even though it may be a little loud. I won't comment on the Miele, as I know very little about them. The only thing named Miele thatI have any experience with is a printing press--and it was spelled differently--Miehle!!

Thanks Jeff

I know this if off topic, but your comment about the Miehle reminded me of recent thread about the printing process. I think you and a few others were sharing stories about mimeograph machines. It reminded me of the mimeograph machines at the United Methodist Church and watching my parents running off the Sunday bulletins and monthly newsletters. Boy, how things have changed.

the miele

Thanks for correcting me Keith. Yes, that's Miele's SEB236 Powerbrush. I meant that as a generic term, but realize with this group I need to pay closer attention to the details.

Hey Robb...

I checked out one of your neighborhood vacuum shops today--AAA Vacuum & Sewing on South B Street. I talked at great length with Jose, who was very knowledgeable and nice by the way. He almost talked me into getting a Riccar upright.

And, yes, there are two vacuums in my collection missing from these pics--my Miele S324i and the Vita-Vac. Boy, you're observant!

I guess I just posted these three because I'm excited about my new "toys." The Miele S324i isn't new and even though I just got the Vita-Vac, I don't think I'll be keeping it (so I don't really consider it part of my collection).

Welcome to the club Mike! I love your collection, but then again I may be a bit biased as I am a dealer for both Miele and Royal.

Thanks Andy...

You're a Miele dealer?!... we need to chat!

I just bought the mini turbo brush yesterday from a newly discovered vacuum shop in San Mateo, California--AAA Vacuum and Sewing. They had a fantastic display of Mieles (no Royals), SEBOs and Riccars. The guy almost talked me into buying a Riccar, which I know/knew nothing about, but liked what I saw.

I love the mini turbo brush and can't believe it's taken me this long to get one.

I'm wondering if you can help me find a NIB Miele horse-hair dusting brush. I think it's part no. SSP 10. It was the one that came with my Miele s324i. I don't care for the new dusting brush that came with my Capricorn. IMHO, Miele really skimmped on that brush.
