What a beautiful collection! That's a fairly rare and early version of the Electrolux Model XXX, manufactured for only two years (1945-1947).
Note the flat-bottom runners, chrome-plated floor nozzle, earlier-style (second version) rug nozzle, later-style steel rear housing but that most probably has the single-panel blower louver instead of the later two-piece saloon-door style (but I can't tell from the photos), and a beautiful hose with the earlier-style tapered hose handle.
(btw the short metal nozzle with the clip-on brush is not an Electrolux product.)

You have some beautiful machines there, all gems! I love the coffee can Hoovers too, and have 10 of them myself. I'm sure the Packard is quite rare, have never seen one in person.

You know which one is the REAL DEAL, because I see the 505 in the middle, and that's exactly how I would arrange it too! As usual, Good choice for you center piece and a fantastically great photo!!!
Very nice collection!!! The Kirby 510--this or the 511 could have been the one my parents bought the year I was born.My Dad used the Kirby to spray varnish on some wall panels-Mom got after him about that-he took the Kirby to the factory-they lived in that area-and had it cleaned and refurbished.On his way home from the Kirby place he bought an air compressor so no more using the Kirby to spray varnish!At the transmitter site one of my coworkers gave me a GE version of that Premier hand vacuum.Story was when he was a child he vacuumed a nest of wasps with it in the garage.Fortunately when I got it the bag had been dumpted-no chopped wasps in it! the fan is pretty mean looking in that thing-a stampted,assembled steel blade fan!It works well!

I felt like a post-mortem photographer when I was photographing the 505, the spring is broken so I had to prop the handle up with an Electrolux wand behind the bag. I'll fix that one of these days...
Regarding the Electrolux, I knew it was an early one, but didn't realize it was that uncommon of a model. I found it at an estate sale for $10, but it was the last day so I got it for $5. It came in a big apple box with each piece wrapped up in an old piece of 1960s newspaper. It looks like they didn't use it much, the inside is spotless. I knew the nozzle with the brush wasn't Electrolux but it came with it, so I kept it as part of its history. It was complete with everything pictured, minus the cord which is the correct Belden cord I found elsewhere. Definitely a keeper![this post was last edited: 8/6/2015-13:20]
