Oh i know!
A very nice hoover junior 1346A. Its in great condition, the blue bag has no rips and is very clean in and out.
I just need help with a few things. With todays couriers you buy an item and expect it broken upon arrival. Just like my hoover junior :(
Around where the handle goes in the plastic body, the casing has a large semi circle shaped crack. Absolutly gutted!
Anyone have a spare casing for a 1346 in good condition or any other junior you wouldnt mind selling. Evan if you know someone just ask, i am willing to pay for it and postage.
Here are some pictures of the damage:

Jake, That vac looks great! Just a question for ya. Where did you get the stand that its on? Is it plexi glass? Im looking for one for my eureka upright.

Thanks, Daniel

Hey

Yes i think it is plexi glass. I got it for free from my grandad who owns a removal company. Wanna see the bissell rugs he got me too?

The power!

2200 wt's my butt!
Only being 450wt's it has more cleaner head suction than a dust manager/purepower!

Nice. I love the vacs and the rugs. I'd like to find a Hoover rug someday. Its a shame things arrive damaged when you pay good money to have things shipped. Althought sometimes it had to do with how they are packed, and also there are soooo many packages that got round the world each day/hour/ min. Its a wonder how they get it all done. But still we do pay a bit for postage and handling.

Just put a bit of 2-part glue (such as araldite) into the crack, tap the back until the plastic pops back into place and wait for it to set up (24 hours) and then just carefully scrape off the excess, I learned a good tip for scraping, and that's to take the blade from a stanley knife, wrap tape evenly around both sides, leaving a few millimetres of blade in the middle, and then just scratch away, taking off a strip of tape to lower it, and it should leave barely a mark on the plastic... :)

Thank you

Thanks for the great tip!
Hoapfully it wont look as bad then! Will post pictures when i have done it. :)

twocvbloke;

Hi, thanks for the help with glueing the crack. It has now been fixed and looks great. Thanks again.

I know what you mean about the Electrolux being a great cleaner.

My '82 502S 500 Watt that I got free from an old lady a few months ago works perfectly, and came with the hose, crevice tool, and the combo floor & brush tool.

And to top it off, it came with a pack of bags and a spare belt!

I used the cleaner today to vacuum the whole house as my bedroom in particular needed a good clean, and the TV, book case, bed side cabinet etc... had a lot of dust on them, but with the brush tool the Electrolux took it all in her stride.

God, I love Electroluxes!

@floor-a-matic I'm not sure, I thought it was still called by the same model number in the US/Canada but just branded as a VOLTA instead of ELECTROLUX...

If it was called the Automatic, I'm sure that was probably because of its automatic height adjustment.
