Yesterday while I was at work kenny went out thrifting for me again,
and stubbled upon this awesome vacuum. It is a Panasonic Jet-Flo
canister, which are almost impossible to find! This powerhouse of a
canister is in almost mint condition, for the exception of a new plug,
and missing tools. The features are the coolest I have ever seen for
a panasonic of this age. It has push button electronic motor control,
a motor pause feature, where if you push one of the buttons just
enough to disengage, the motor stops without turning it off. If you
get what I mean. The power nozzle has a switch that turns the beater
motor off for hard floors, and the headlamp stays on when you do this
too! I think the layout for the power cord for the floor nozzle is
ingenious! There is a spring at the bottom that holds the cord taut and
a clip at the top that holds the cord. Essentially all you have to do to
disconnect the cord is pull out the pig tail and then pull up on the cord
and poof your done! I have pictures to better show this. There is also a
full bag indicator needle and an alarm option. The alarm kind of sounds
like a dying cow, bit is cool. All in all kenny and I both agree $5 isn't bad
for an awesome canister!

Power options

Far left is for lowest setting, like drapes, The second one
is for upholstery. These two options do not allow power
to go to the power nozzle. The third is for beater bar
operation on carpets, and the last is for full suction on carpets.

Selector

Here is a pic of the team. You can see the selector for bare floors and carpets on the right side of the power nozzle. The power nozzle is huge too!

Toby, you do find the neatest things!! Looks like it is in great shape to. Does it have a cord winder? These always reminded me a bit of the Regina canisters. Terry

Robert not Toby

Yes is has a cord winder, if you go to the pic of the power selector the pedal on the right is for the cord. I was so thrilled after I got it cleaned to see in how great of shape the vacuum was in.

At $5 it's a steal and I love the burgundy and cream color combo. I think Pete has this one as well as the matching upright with the electronic pushbuttons and alarming 'cow fart'.

Very cool! Here's my grandma's Jet-flo from 1982 or 1983 (I think 1983 but forgot). It really is a good cleaner, and with the hose, it has a good amount of suction!

Kenny had a Jet-Flo, but when he let someone borrow it they sucked up water in it and ruined the motor. He still used it up until the bag door had see way better days.

Robert, I am really sorry, not sure how that happened!! At any rate it is one beautiful machine. Terry
