A while back I had picked up the green one locally. Unfortunately it was almost trashed. It ran but was absolutely full of all sorts of nasty smutz and who knows what else. I cleaned it up the best I could but these are not the easiest machines to take apart. In a stroke of luck I did find another one on shop goodwill that went for a cheap price. Of course shopping there usually winds up costing more than the cost of the vacuum but I guess that’s the price or having a rate machine. This one is red and is in much better shape, very lightly used. The green one has a slot for the mini turbine tool, the red one just has standard attachments, otherwise they are the same. I wish I had the attachment that would let me use a bag instead of the dual chamber bag less but I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

Nice Hoovers!

I too loved those V2's and wish I still had mine, but sold them years ago.

I did however find the part you were looking for and if $29 bucks isn't out of your price range, the link I've attached will take you to the part which will convert your lovely V2's from bagless to bagged.

Good luck and also, I didn't have time but Ebay might sell the bagged container too, so you might want to check as I only looked at the places I buy parts online.

Thanks for sharing your pics!

Wow nice finds, I have not seen these yet. And yeah I don't like shopgoodwill.com anymore much because they typically use a freight shipper quote for everything and go way overboard with the weight. Like $60 to ship a vac from a Goodwill warehouse 30 miles from me.

Thank you for the link...honestly I hadn’t looked yet. I thought the machines where suppose to come new with the adapter, maybe they didn’t. I know some of these parts on these odd balls Hoover’s from this era are NLA and after the experience trying to get the bag carrier for my Dutchtech I figured it would be a similar experience. I probably will Get it, I doubt this will be a daily driver but it would be a unique accessory to a unique vacuum, I don’t think many others where convertible like this. I did use it today, it pulled up quite a lot of junk. The dual agitators groom very nicely...it does smal rugs well the nozzle design doesn’t eat them. However it does push like a ton a bricks. For a dual motor machine it’s quite noisy as well.
