Paint color for Electrolux Olympia Brown

Has anyone found a suitable paint color for the Electrolux Olympia's? I looked through some auto paint chips when I managed the collision center but never found anything close.

Bring the back end cap or the inside of the bag door into the hardware store and have it color matched?

House paint

That brown colour the Electrolux Olympia One used looks like the same brown colour that was used years ago on houses. Go into a hardware store and see if you can find brown house paint in that same dark brown. Then contact the manufacturer - chances are, they either make it in a spray paint application for metal, OR they could direct you to another manufacturer/brand that does. Or, they might have a similar brown shade in spray paint that will do and be close enough.

Also another option if you don't want to spend so much money on paint matching a pint of paint (if it's for a small little chip or scratch) - you can see if Testors has a color match in their range of little hobby paints for model kits. These little jars usually only cost about $1 or so.

The Olympia One & Model B-8 Carpet Beautifer/Polisher paint has a metallic luster (the Deluxe Model 1453 may be a plain dark brown). It seems to me that Dark Copper is a close match; similar to the Coppertone-colored appliances of the '60s & '70s.

At one time Electrolux branches could get original colors in spray cans with parts orders to make repos or repairs look near new.I have seen blue,gold & brown.
