My latest Ebay bargoon arrived all the way from Texas in it's pristine Chartreuse & Olive Green beauty. handle removed and every single part double-swaddled in protective bubblewrap, as requested.

I was quite smitten with this slim l'il thing when I spotted it, for it's green color, ultraslim profile for hanging on the wall or running under furniture and 4 packs of nib capacious bags. As much as I admire the Regina broomvac and its ilk with the cloth bag and dirt cup, this just seemed so much more sensible within the upright stickvac genre. It pulls a useful 25". This would appear to be the 1969/70 re-styling of an earlier Sunbeam Slimvac I have seen out there somewhere. No model number listed, simply Sunbeam Automatic Toe Start emblazoned on the front. Self-explanatory, it starts up when tilted back from the two wheel nozzle.

Best of all and y'all probably noticed, it's a colour match variation to the Challenger and has the exact same wheeled floor nozzle with the cast aluminum plate & sprung brush strip.

Oh, that vile bile green is so delicious! LOL

They make a fine pair, I think. This Slimvac 'Everyday' is ideal for zipping around my kitchen or livingroom for quick efficient pickups. And stores in a space a mere 5" wide beside the fridge nozzle up or down, or it free-stands solidly wherever you put it.

Oh Dave. All these years I have tried to remember what vacuum my next door neighbour had and thats it! Mrs Davidson's was light blue. It would hang flat on the back of the laundry room door.
Wow, it has a huge bag for the size of the machine. If I remember correctly, it was fairly quiet.

hi Dave

Seeing double...LOL
Thanks for the FQ brush afraid I don't use a hairdryer but thanks for the thought.

My challenger is gone it was not in good condition.
I'm afraid it wasn;t worth the postage to post it anywhere.
It really was not in the best condition so it hit the dumps.
Least the brush found its way to you.

I can't do this anymore
I still got far too many vacs for my lil apt
Glad you got a house & can enjoy them.

Paging Dr Ray Sunbeam Blocker!

Proof that sunscreen works.

I use this exotic gel or spray stuff with an spf of 60 designed specifically for..um...hairy persons. It drys clear and dry with no white stickiness.

Didn't notice til I got home and showered that I forgot to reach below my shoulders and I will live to regret it. :-( Smeared with Aloe/vitamin E cream now with fingers crossed it's not so bad.

Anmd why was I so exposed to the rays of the sun? because it was a 91 F hot sunny muggy day and I had to go out and float my boat. My pal Patrick joined me. We took a picnic basket and played with two RC toys, etc.
Patrick remembered his sunscreen all over...

I forget what they are called right now and they are in the boat. I found the orange one, which has a different frequency, at the local Goodwill two weeks ago.

The pontoons are Archimedes screws independently controllable and reversible. I've run this toy on carpet, water, snow and it's especially impressive on sand.

Anyone that gets sun burnt, lavender oil works great.
Three or four drops in the tub, give it a swish and dive in.
Softens your skin, gets rid of the pain and tightness and you won't peel. You will sleep like a log too.
You can also throw a few drops in the rinse cycle for nice smelling sheets and a few drops on the vacuum bag makes things smell nice and I think it helps kill or deter fleas.

Nice reference to Elphaba. Never saw the play, read the book

3 Words.

Best.
Musical.
Ever.

If you are thinking of seeing it try to see the 2nd National Tour cast, not the first. The current Broadway cast is OK, but nothing compared to the 2nd National Tour, infact the one playing Elphaba on that tour just came from Broadway.
