I have one of these blue "spatter finish" Apexes, awaiting restoration. I had one once before that I gave to another collector because it too needed restoration and I never got around to it. He entered it in one of the VCCC cleaning contests and it won for best post-war upright.
It's a wonderful machine, and wonderful looking. I would love to have the higher-tier model which was finished in two tone metallic brown. Anyone have that model? I'd love to see photos of it, as I never have seen one -- only illustrated ads.
