Original Owner Electrolux Olympia One 1401-B Fans?

I am trying to fix up an Electrolux 1401-B Olympia one. In taking the motor apart, the fan housing was harboring an outer fan with cracks in the aluminum plate radiating from the hub. The innner fan (closest to the armature) has totally sheared off the fan disc from the hub.

In my initial cursory search of the web, I'm only finding complete motors being sold. Does anyone know of these parts being available separately?

The motor runs well otherwise, good bearings, enough copper left on the commutator, etc. I think this vac can return to finish a good life.

I am in Southwest Florida 33983 USA.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

You'd probably be better of buying a parts machine that has the parts you need, combining the two and making one good machine.

Aerus might have them

You might want to check with your local Aerus dealer. I had a fan issue in my Mom’s model S many years ago and they had tons of fans and I was even ordering new ones but they weren’t the right size for that model. The Olympia ones are a more common size so I bet they will have them.

Motors

With the fans enclosed like the ametek motor for compact/tristar motor seem similar. The whole motor unit is sold because the fan is part of the unit. Kirby, royal there fans are on the armature but the enclosed fan is used.
I researched some but you don't want used or even new enclosed fans to a foreign armature.
The rainbow/rexair e2 2 speed motors if you replace the fans there going to continue to give you issues.
I know you may want the fans but you are probably best buying a new motor and not dealing with the new fan doesn't quite run right.

Aerus is the new name of the US Electrolux, so the company is not dead, rather much alive but under a new name. The History is that the Swedish company brought their cleaners here in 1924, then eventually started manufacturing them here, then sold off the US company to become its own which is the Electrolux that made your machine...it remained this way for the most part until 200p when the Swedish company Electrolux wanted to sell their machines here under the same name so they bought the rights to the name from the US Electrolux company and part of the deal was the US company had to change their name, it became Aerus finally in 2003.

Aerusvacuums.com is the current website for the “traditional US Electrolux vacuums” we are used to. Of course the products are branded Aerus now. There are references on the web site here and there to the original Electrolux.

Most of The current vacuums they sell are very similar to the last models under the Electrolux name in fact. They service the Electrolux vacuums they made. Same product...different name.

Hope this helps to understand the Aerus name.

Also....

The Olympia motor fan unit can be disassembled and fans replaced...it is not like the Ametek motors others mentioned in this thread so replacement is possible...contact your nearest Aerus/Electrolux dealer and they should be able to confirm. Hopefully you have done so already.
