Help Support VacuumLand:

These are manufactured by Perfect, a brand I've only seen in vac shops..they tweeked them enough to be different from Sanitaire that a lawsuit was unsuccessful from what I was told.

Wow!!!!!

That IS a Eureka/Sanitaire rip-off!!!!! How they managed to escape a lawsuit is bewildering......

This "Perfect" vacuum company is weird...it's basing its entire concept on making copies of other company's vacs - like the Electrolux canister!

clones

all made or licensed to build by the same company with different brand names

Joe - does this mean that Sanitaire has actually licensed Perfect to use their shop drawings to make commercial uprights for Oreck? Or is Sanitaire making the vacs for Oreck directly, just like Eureka used to make vacs for storebrands like JCPenney, Wards, Eatons and The Bay? Or has Oreck contracted Sanitaire/Electrolux of North America to create commercial vacs for them?

I'm very curious.....

Actually

the cleaner on display at Sams had the chrome agitator with embossed beater bars and the red brush strips. Isn't that considered a "vibra-groomer" in Eureka speak? Is the VGII the version that is tapered & more aggresive looking?

The VG One has a profile like a propellor blade - like a flat piece of aluminum twisted. It's got one row of replaceable black bristles (split into two sections), and one single shiny metal beater bar with no dents (split into two sections).

The VG II is round in profile and shiny polished steel. There is one spiral row of small individual beater bars, and one row of replaceable brush strips. It looks like this:
