Very Easy
Vacuumfan96's instructions were kinda vague, so I will try to explain as if you've never seen an Oreck.
Firstly, you need too remove the cord from the tube and handle. About half-way up there is a bracket that holds the cord. Unscrew that. Then find the base of the cleaner and remove the tubes. They pull right up after you unscrew the thing that keeps them tight. I can't think of the word for it, sorry. It's really obvious.
Next, unscrew the base. All of them are located of the bottom of the machine. Remove the belt and brush roll. Around the motor are I think three screws. Unscrew them. There are two wires connect to the motor. Remember which ones go where and pull them out. Pull the motor up and out and you will find the fan. Then just loosen the bolt and the fan will come right out. The fan chamber should be able to be removed easily now.
From what I've heard, the fan chamber normally breaks before the fan in Orecks. This happened with mine back in 2009 and the chamber cost about $15 at my local Oreck store.
I'm not completely sure how to remove the wires from the base, so I'd play it safe and just wipe the inside with a sponge.
