Oreck XL Commercial CC docking help

Hi all,

I just purchased a new Oreck XL Commercial upright and I’m wondering if I can add the CC bag dock.. currently it just has the slip on type bag that looks like a CC fit/ size it just doesn’t have the dock. Any help is always appreciated!

Yes

It is very easy,i've done it. You can order the dock on ebay or amazon. It's about $8 or $9. It will just slide over the bag holder.

@kirbysthebest thank you!! That helps a ton. Does the metal retaining clip that holds the cloth bag need to come off or can I just slide that dock right in? Nice Oreck btw.. I’ve always liked the Breast Cancer Editions.

Pull the metal retainer, the base of the CC dock goes in its place to anchor the dock and hold the dock in place.

Thank you! I figured that’s what I was going to have to do, wasn’t for sure though. Any tips on getting the oreck scent tabs to provide a stronger scent? I place them in the tab holder within the cloth bag however I can’t very barely smell it. Any tips?

What he said. Remove the clip the dock goes in its place. I also ordered a brace so the handle doesnt wobble. Some models have them already, this one did not.

THanks, I bought this one because my Mom had breast cancer. I recently bid on another, newer one, but it wasn't meant to be. The buy it now price was ok, but the seller wanted like $80 shipping. He wouldnt accept an offer, so i waived good bye.

Mine came with the handle support, I got the XL commercial 2 speed LEED compliant version, the first speed on this one is incredibly quiet. Quieter than any oreck I’ve encountered on low speed. There’s a xl platinum Susan Komen breast cancer edition on eBay now for like $60 which isn’t bad. I thought about picking it up but I have with my Platinum Pilot. I’m still searching for a Dirt Devil swivel glide.. can’t seem to come across any.
