Hey guys,I have this really crappy Oreck,Made of mix-macth parts with a torn bag,Bad motor and no cord,
And i was thinking,
It would be pretty fun using it as a(n) Garage vacuum,But not with a paper bag (I currently use a dyson DC-14 i think it is,And i fill the bin faster than Hoover pulls in grit),And with bags being "Hepa" and unbelievably expensive,I'd thought it would be cool to make it cloth bagged. So,Can i just use the regular bag?Or would the motor explode? It would be very fun to make a(n) entirely cloth bag,Like from a material like a kirby bag,Or scraps,So here's some questions...
1:Can i use the regular bag with no paper bag? What harm would it do to the motor?
2:What can i make a cloth-bag out of?Any recommendations or ideas?

If i choose something extravagant,I'd be sure to make a video ;)

An idea for you here....the Oreck XL Commercial uprights offer a reusable shakeout bag as optional equipment. You will have to remove the bag dock to use it, but there's a solution for you if you don't mind parting ways with some cash.

You could rip both the cloth bag and paper bag completely off, and the motor would not care one bit. So, no, it would't do a thing to the motor.
