Orange Cream Deluxe Convertible

Sorry I haven't made any posts for a couple of weeks, but I like show you one of my vacuums from my collection, this here is a Hoover Deluxe Convertible model U4189 and somehow I noticed is there is not much information about this particular vacuum, I got this back in May at goodwill for $23.80 and it runs pretty good and a simple vacuum to use. Enjoy these pics.

Here is the underside of the vacuum. And I believe it's a metal base model. Sorry it's a little dirty I need to clean it up.

Here is the model and serial number sticker, does anybody know what production date this particular model made in?

Here's another interesting thing, this is the disposable bag that was in this vacuum when I got it, I noticed it has the year 1976, is it possible that this bag is originally in the vacuum for 41 years? I don't know I might be wrong.

I happen to like this model of plastic Convetible.

I might say though, the date on the paper bag is a patent date for that style of Type C bag. Your U4189 is actually from about 1979 or 1980 or even '81. Hoover went to plastic in 1979, if it would have been from 1976, it would still me metal.

Thank u TheSpiritof76, I was a little curious about the type C bag, and I got a little confused about the plastic/metal part, and when the bag is completely full I'm going to use Kirby micron filter bags, I got that idea from another vacuumland member.
