Oooh yes my next door neighbord sadly ended up in assited living facility diabetes and fall did her in shes alive loving the care she has .
But her brother is in charge of liquidating her home and assets per say, i have first dab on a tristar cxl 50th anniversary hopefully it works out .
I allready havea a Compact Electra C9 vacuum but heck i wont say no to a twin .
On thsi note hopefully i find attachment (IE golden speckle dusting brush ,crevice tool, upolstry tool and metal rug tool.)
Its nice to havea chance to grow my collection yay .Keep yall posted when i get it .

Nice

I think mine is either 45th anniversary or close to it.
Congrats i can't imagine you not getting it.
I think the eureka wide track I won on eBay is a bust. I asked for tracking number or anything. I haven't heard anything. Tommorow I can dispute it. I am getting a royal power tank cannister tommorow for $50.
It doesn't have a power nozzle or atleast im not aware of it. I'm not sure if they use eureka, rugmaster or nutotne. I do have an extra eureka as I bought a green eureka power nozzle for my c8 in green.

Sweet

Glad to hear. Maybe one day you can pass on the cxl to a family member like your c,9.
Does it have a power nozzle? If so is it flat belt or geared belt?

Hopefully when i have kids i wil lshow me my vacuums collection !
My nephew is 1 year old loves the shopvac cant wait to go see him and show my big vac hes gona love it .
When i get the cxl i will post pic and clean her up for sure il let you know ,just started working from home so been a tad bit busyer than usual but when i get my paws on it il post here .

Kids

You don't have to have kids. If I have kids it would be adopted. You can maybe plant a seed of vacuum knowledge through your nephew. I tried my nephew who is 18 but no no avail.
Im not even following topic here. I need my bearing puller to take bearing off rainbow to put the new bearing and nut to finish the rainbow silver.
Im waiting for my teacher to send invite for virtual class.

Awesome

That is pretty sweet. I'd say watch it be more powerful than your compact buy you replaced the motor. It should run just like your compact c9.
I'll make one suggestion on the c9 you painted. The power nozzle the I believe sticker or top section goldfish yellow. If you paint it light blue it would match the power nozzle. I'll say again that your compact c9 paint job still looks good.
What year is the 50th anniversary 1993? I have the two tone 45th anniversary.
The power nozzle for mine is exactly the same as the c9. Where it's white its black on cxl power nozzle.
I have used my royal power tank 4150 and it's not as powerful as c8,c9 or cxl.
Glad to see you got the cxl though. I remember you asked why I got another compact when I already have one. You know the answer is you get a chance to get a compact/tristar you take it.
Congratulations again.

Nice score!

I was going to ask the same question about what year yours is. Some friends bought a Tristar CXL complete in '93 and another friend bought same few years later. I house sit for both and have used their machines many times and really like them. I brought one home to try at my place since that's the best way to see and compare it's performance. Very strong. Neither have the lg. exhaust filter on front and yet they are still relatively quiet. You could have a conversation with someone while vacuuming without yelling! Been thinking about adding one to my daily driver collection! Congrats!

Kirbykelter

Like your namesake I love Kirby's too. I even painted my c8 d80 green after my d80.
There is a small filter like the black foam they use on shop vac filters. It filters a little. I have the plug and it bog down the machine.
The cxl with a wessell werk ebk-360 power nozzle. The Wessell Werk is $150. The regular power nozzles are really good.
If you like Kirby this is what a Kirby canister would perform like.
Since I've got my c9 a year and a half ago it's been my daily driver.
The tristar/compact power nozzles are made by eureka.
