Finally finished the Kia's break job, now I can start the next project...

It's been quietly sitting there across the room, slowly collecting dust just patiently waiting to get restored.

I picked up this Kenmore earlier this year off of Facebook marketplace (my first successful purchase on there too) for $20, it doesn't have any tools but at least has the hose.

What are the chances of finding tools that match?

(Photos of the Kenmore are from day of pickup)

I almost had one of these a few months back, in blue. Someone sniped me within the last 5 minutes. I intended to use it as a great car vacuum seeing as its already on a pull-around cart.

Nice machine. Glad you got the original hose. Now you will just need the attachment holder and the attachments. Kenmore and their Karts are some of my favorite machines.

116.7360 cleaner

I have a complete 7amp #7360 cleaner that I brought back from Salt Lake City in 1983 when it was 30 years old. I have all the original tools . There were 8 tools plus a demothing cartridge that is always missing. The cleaner won the People's choice award at the 2004 VCCC convention near Chicago Ill. I run it from time to time not necessarily to clean anything but to keep the bearings in shape which were replaced along with carbon brushes & commutator being turned in the lathe. I am a vac technician. I do have some parts for this vac. I replaced the elastic on the attachment rack in 1984 also.

Here's Mine

The tank version without the cart, model 116.730. My parents had the same model when I was growing up, for the basement and to clean out the cars. This one only had the hose, wands, rug nozzle, and dust brush with it, so I bought the Kenkart caddy to get the rest of the attachments you see here. Now I only need the slide on upholstery brush, felt polisher pad, and attachment box to make it complete. Fired it up just yesterday to hear that prrrreeeeeeeeenn sound again.
Steve, I remember you! We emailed back and forth a couple times when I got my Kenmore and was trying to round up some attachments for it. Hope things are going well with you.

# 730 Kenmore cleaner

I have this exact same vacuum also. It has as you know a 6 amp two stage motor. This model Number indicates it's a 1949 model. I need to service mine. It needs a changeout of fans & new ball bearings. I have a spare armature with new bearings pressed on it. also have perfectly balanced suction fans to changeout the slightly out of balance ones on it now. i do have the attachments including the floor polisher, slide on drapery brush, sprayer, that is missing on yours. There were 12 attachments in all, burgundy was the color. Thank you for the greetings. If I can be of any help with your 116.730 vacuum cleaner do write back to me. by the way the cloth tool rack you have is for the 116.732 KEN kart not yours.

Yes, I knew the cloth tool rack was for the Kenkart when I got it, but I bought it for the attachments that were with it that I needed. And since I have it I do keep the attachments in it. I'd rather have the burgundy attachment box that came with this model if it ever turns up. Do you by any chance have an extra upholstery slider or floor polisher slider that you'd be willing to sell? If so, let me know what you want for them.
Do you have pics of your Kenmores? If so, please post them some time. I'd love to see them, and I'm sure everyone else here would too.

I don't have a digital camera

I would like to make a composite picture of most of my old Kenmores but i can't at present. I have the Coral pink lady Kenmore complete with literature that I would like to show. It uses #87500 bearings which i just replaced 2 years ago. These bearings are used on the fan end of the old Kirbys. This has to be the most over the top kenmore ever built. too bad that whirpool had to cheapen on the Sears vacs from 1963 on.
