Hey guys, I just recently brought over my GE from W.A. and I found out the hose has deteriorated at the top near the handle, so it lets quite a bit of suction through. Is there a way how I can seal it up?
As the hose looks wonderful, but the performance is definitely not wonderful

Liquid Rubber

There is a liquid rubber product I’ve heard of people using to seal up old Electrolux woven hoses but can’t recall the name. I’m not sure how messy it would be but that would be an option to maintain the original hose.

Hose looks to be braided --

-- and not vinyl. Very difficult to repair. I would suggest having original hose to display and newer replacement to use. Vac and hose look very nice. Yours has switch that is not seen here.
