Whoa! Talk about bojack Kirby!! I can narrow it down. It's ranges from a 1956 Kirby 516 to a 1963 Kirby Sanitronic VII. There should be a black or brown tag on the bottom of the motor that should have the model name and serial number stamped on it. It's possible that it could have been removed during restoration, whenever that took place because I do not see one original part on that vacuum unless the power on/off switch is original and that would indicate that the machine was the tan 1962 Kirby 562 or the tan 1963 Sanitronic VII. I hope this helps.

LOL oi kind of figures it may have several different parts on it. By chance is there a number somewhere inside the motor housing that would help? I didn't see one but if I knew where to look.
this was a 20 dollar find

i'm a little out of practice, but it

looks like a sani 7 power plant with a 500 series floor nozzle, and cheap replacement bag.

Is the safety swich a 2 button swich or single button swich?

If it is a "one" button switch it is single speed machine. would have been done in red trim where all the chocolate brown trim is. or could have tan trim that would be the sanitronic.
these machines were the 4 am single speed models.

If it is a two button swich that would be a dual 50 tan or the dual 80 Avacado green. These machines were the 5 amp 2 speed models.

The safety switch is located behind the head mounted to the fan case.
