Remember these-nice one with the METAL base pan! These were pretty durable, and the metal base made a good heat sink for the motor.Later plastic base pan Sears vacuums had to be handled carefully-if it drops on its front wheel-the plastic base would be broken. There were MANY of these at the former vac shop here. Most of the time the broken Sears vacuum was left in favor of a new Riccar 1500 canister.

I bought the Avacado one......

for $325. It is a fantastic machine.

I also was a bidder on the baby blue one. The owner wrote that he had to cancel my bid because he wanted to have a "Buy it Now".

He added it and emailed me it was back on Ebay. Before I cold get back to it it sold.

Congratulations.

As I was watching that one, at one point it had been bid up to $350, of which I was only partly amazed. Then the next day, it's as if the person had cancelled their bid, and it was standing around $215 or so. Then you must have stepped in and took it to the winning bid.

It does look like a nice one. Complete even with the manual.

Just out of curiosity, what would have been the most you would have bid that blue one to?
