I believe this to be an early prototype for the Dual Sanitronic for a number of reasons, some of which are (thus there are other reasons too):
1. It has a Dual Speed switch/safety switch ((a 562 fan cover does not fit a dual speed switch, this vacuum has a dual speed switch = or in different wording, the fan cover on this vacuum has a 562 part number cast into it (it is not a Sanitronic part number), a dual speed switch does not fit a standard 562 fan cover however this vacuum has a dual speed switch on it)).
2. The coil/stator = the motor in the vacuum is dual speed, a standard 562 model would have an entirely different stator/coil. A dual speed motor has more wiring than a 562 motor.
3. The motor housing has a 562 part number, a standard 562 motor housing does not accept dual speed motor - the design of a 562 motor housing and a dual speed motor housing are entirely different. The motor housing the vacuum was modified to accept a dual speed motor.
I fully stated in the listing, " I believe this to be an early prototype for the Dual Sanitronic" if you do not think it is that is A-OK with me but then tell me why it is not.
Thank you to everyone who replied positively in my behalf or had something positive to say about me.

Lastly, I am exiting stage right.....
