Unfortunately, unlike other members here who have gotten good progress in vacuum sobriety, I’ve fallen off the wagon today, double so!
Earlier this week on my lunch break, I stopped by Salvation Army and saw some vacs. One was a Shop Vac Mighty Mini canister vac of the 1980s with its box and attachments inside. I don’t buy any vacs that day. But today I went back to look at something else and saw that Mighty Mini still there. Unfortunately I decided to look closer at what was in the box and discovered there was also a vintage set of Hoover attachments in the box, in their original vinyl carry bag as well as some paper work.
I couldn’t pass up those vintage Hoover tools, so for $8 I bought the whole assortment.
Then, headed home, I saw the familiar silhouette of an Electrolux tank sitting on the side of the road. It had a nice vinyl hose with it too. I at first started to not pick it up, but that hose was too nice to leave, so I turned around and threw it in the trunk. I’m not up on the models, but it’s gray and silver and has the wheel to adjust the auto shutoff. It also had the power nozzle with it, a version with a headlight. It’s dirty and rusty but it could all be salvageable. I couldn’t really just leave if behind, but I really should have.
So yes, now I’ve failed today doubly so!
