I don't have a picture yet, but I was attempting to fit a Kenmore telescoping want to a PN I had and noticed something peculiar. The Elbow was gray, looked the same except there is a grove at the rear to guide the wand snap button instead of having a set up for a side button.
Could this be a transition elbow before the switch to the off-whit newer set up where the pins are wider set?

Pictures!

Notice the snap guide is at the back of the tube, there is no side lever built in to eject the wand, but instead a button built into the wire cover. Lastly, there is not swivel point.

Does anyone know what wand connects to this elbow?

I found it

It's Panasonic, it uses a 2 piece wand that has the snap button facing backwards. The wand I want, is AC99PGJZV06. The top is interchangeable with regular Kenmore upper wands. So now to find the one I need.

Sorry for the plea.

If you want another fun fact where the button is placed on the wand (i.e. side, front, back and length from end of wand to button) is different depending on which model power nozzle you have.

Thanks....

Turns out, I was wrong about the model number of the Panasonic wand that goes with this elbow. I have retired the elbow to my supply tub along with the specific wire harness for this and the Kenmore elbows. I may find a use for them.

Last year, I had time to devote to refurbishing a supply of maybe 15 canisters I rescued from Goodwill over a period of 2 years. Went through one by one cleaning, repairing or replacing parts and finally sealing each up in plastic kitchen garbage bags.

I will probably sell them. There is a local lady who either uses (abuses) them for her cleaning business, who contacts me for them occasionally. Great hobby, but when things get crowded, they leave me. I have even donated some in the past to church garage sales.

I have managed to collect a good deal of vacuums as many of us have, but there may come a time when I will put a call out to members to come and get them. Well, most of them.

I can't place it, what era is this from?

Do you have any of the models that have the dirt sensor Power Mate and LED light on the telescopic wand? This sort of reminds me of one of those. The wands that telescoped had a bit more swivel where it connected to the power nozzle.

Here in Canada, we had a red Kenmore Intuition that had the red SuperSwivel powermate with dirt sensor. The wand has the led light on it. It was the 2nd from the blue TOL Intuition that had the CrossOver powerhead with the removable floor brush that was hated by so many in online reviews. This was back around 2010 to 2015.

I picked up the red one last year from a Kijiji seller for $15 dollars who got rid of it due to the cord creeping back in. If only they were smart enough to figure out their issue was easily fixed with a plastic bag clip from the dollar store :). Great vacuum but I prefer my Kenmore Elite with the Plush Pro powerhead.
