Odd Kirby Classic Omega

I've just come across this, it looks like a Classic Omega but in the colour scheme of a Tradition! Was this some kind of limited edition or is it a rather interesting refurb?

It is actually a Kirby Classic 1CR.

Yep, often times vacuum shops would rebuild an older model Kirby into the then current model's color schemes, this happens all the time!

Yes that did happen a lot, Kirby would make trim kits to fit most models but only in the colour-scheme that was current at the time. Kind of like this one.

Nope, that one's a Dual Sanitronic 80. The Tradition hose will not work with the D50/1CR two-button speed switch (134365), unless the main coupling (211079S) also has the tab to jibe with it.

Whats with the DVC "Bojack" F&G bags on both of these machines-and on the D80 one there is a hole in the outer bag.For my 99 bucks-machine should have the orig bag!!The orig bag systems provide BETTER performance than the DVC F&G bags.Don't mind having to dump them.

Tolivac, I for one love the F&G conversion on my Classic III. Not my choice, the machine came with it, and as long as you don't use F&G bags, it's terrific!

What kind of bags do you use in your F&G conversion bag?If alternative types will try it in my conversion bag.My bag came with a box of stuff from a former Kirby dealer.

I've been using Hoover Type N, but only because I have a couple of them! I wonder if you can put a Sanitare ST conversion kit in the bag, since they work on F&G Eurekas?
