Obscure (and most likely cheap) stick vacuum

Someone has the original infomercial for the Shark Cordless Sweeper up on youtube and couldn't help but notice this one stick vac they used against it. I remember also seeing this particular vacuum get its own infomercial not that much before the infomercial for the cordless sweeper dropped. Does anyone know the name of this weird looking stick vac.

The height and small size of it, and in the static shots the flimsy cheap plastic makes me think they grabbed a kids toy.

I remember in the early 2000s seeing a very similar shaped but light gray colored machine called a "Joe Campanelli Quick-Vac", I wonder if it was made in blue for other sales channels/names. Or maybe they just took one and painted it for the commercial.

LOL, it does look like a kids toy! But I kid you not thats an actual stick vac, they had a WHOLE infomercial on it a few months before this dropped. Looks very flimsy that's for sure. The Euroflex Monster looks a tad bit like it, but that ones corded.

OMG that is without a doubt it, shape and ALL!!!! That msutve been one of those vacs they slapped different brand names on for different advertisers (the Singer Lazer Storm comes to mind). The infomercial that particular vac was in was in blue, so I think it was just essentially a no name vacuum.

I swear there was an informercial for a stick vacuum called a LaserVac/LazerVac back in the early 2000s. Other than that, I don’t remember too much about it.

Is this it? The Singer lazer storm? It was later relabeled something like air storm. I recall watching that infomercial years back and them using something like a dryer hose to drag a fridge via the vacuum's suction.

Was this it? The IGIA Lazer Vac 4-in1 Vacuum? Came out in 2002, the same year as the Shark infomercial and was sold through Cyberbrands.

Interesting to see it as a Shark competitor of the time, and now 20 years later theres a more modern Shark vacuum that kind of looks like it LOL.

Yeah the bad thing about letting China use your design molds is they will take them out under the table and make copies of them and sell them off to other factories to make their own brands. It's why there's about 30 different named Dyson clones out there of the V-series stick vacs. Just something that name brand companies have to account for. Usually they don't last very long because of their cheap manufacturing. Would be interesting if someone preserved these clones for future reference.

Never in a million years would I ever own one of those Dyson knockoffs either, they all look like absolute junk. So many people now seem to use them as like their official vac. You need an actual upright or canister so its something Im not really understanding too well. But I agree 100% preserving these units would be interesting, especially pointing out the particular time period we're currently in regarding the state of modern vacuums and cleaning as a whole.

On to shark however, for me they are a VERY so so brand but I'd have one before a Dyson. on a RARE occasion they actually make a machine that peaks my interest, more often than not however, its a no go for me.

Yeah Shark vacuums are okay, but not worth the MSRP they charge, and mine keep having problems of working well for 2-3 months then all of a sudden the suction goes kaput. I check every single seal, filter, air channel, everything and find no faults. Short of dismantling the entire vacuum I have no idea what causes it. It's like it has a massive air leak somewhere. I'd say I'd prefer a Dyson but I have wool area rugs and Dyson's cheap bristles shred through carpet like a cheese grater, so that's no good for me either.

Sharks

TBH, out of the 100s of Sharks they have, I've only shown interest in like 6 or 7 of them. I know someone who needs a lightweight vac and they like the shark they have, they actually find the liftoff feature useful. The filtration on that one is actually pretty good too, I've used it and never sneeze LOL. From what I hear though they sound alot better than what they used to have in the 2000s before the infinity and navigator. They used to have like overheating issues? It's still Euro Pro but they go by SharkNinja now. I like the look of this one navigator they have out now, it's not lift away, the Zu51

I never really liked Shark or anything made by Euro-Pro/Ninja but there was one model or so that I thought they did got right. The original Navigator or any Navigator with the 21 cyclones (I think the blue Walmart NV22 is my favorite version), I didn't really minded them. But I don't get why those aren't still being made today while the original Navigator Lift-Away and those similar to it are however. Those are in my humble opinion WAY better machines than anything else that I've used from Shark. Even better than the one my work has, I actually hate that machine. Those are much more simpler, they filter better because of their 21 cyclone set up, they clean better, they feel more maneuverable, they seem to hold up longer, and they don't tip over while you're using the hose.
