Numatic Henry

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

You should get the R/C one, it's about the same size as the desktop one, but of course you can drive it about like an R/C car, then you'll have the whole fleet... :P

The Walt Disney Company should supply all their resort hotels with these cute smiley vacs! The kids would love 'em!

I was so afraid of vacuum cleaners when I was a small toddler - these Henry's would be the perfect vac to help kids overcome their fears!

What about a whole Henry animatronic vacuum orchestra at the United Kingdom pavilion at Florida's EPCOT theme park? :-)

(Maybe Disney could contract Numatic to create some special characters for the vacs?)

"Where do you get them?"

Ah, I may have made an error, I was just looking at "Henry toy" results on ebay, and found they were wind-up racer things, not R/C Henries, I was going off memory and what the sign said in a Cash Wizard shop, selling them as R/C toys (never did look at them up close)... :S

Still, they come as a pair, a Henry and a Hetty, so you can have some desktop Vacky races (gettit? :P ) still... :D

Oh, and they also have a Sit & Ride thing for toddlers too, I think they're trying too hard now... :P

Anyway, a link to the wind-up racers:

Yeah i saw those 2 items on Ebay i might get the wind up tow but the sit and ride thing i had to hide from the kids seeing as ive enough junk in the house nevermind that as well.

I've got a desktop one too, somewhere, I modified it though to take a 9v battery, that certainly got it to work, for about 5 minutes before the motor screamed and died... :P

Damned cheap chinese toy motors... :P

When have those desktop Vacuum Cleaners ever worked well ?

I bought a cheap one (not a Henry) from eBay for 99p a year or two ago. It is green and from china.

It does pick up, a bit, and plugs into the computer's USB port.

Personally I don't like it that much, hence not using it in over a year.

The only good thing about it is that it has a headlight!

I bought one of those mini USB Hoover Senior-style vacs a few years ago, and frankly, out of the box it was poo, so, again I modified it, and it worked better, cos I modified it so it was a dirty-fan vac (as per the original thing) with a cloth bag on the back, but unfortunately it got put in a box, and then some heavy 12v 7ah lead acid batteries were added to the same box, and it got crushed... :&#92

One of the reasons to why I keep my Miele cylinder vac:

The turbo brush is great for upholstery, stairs - but the I never use the long crevice tool - the best tool for shifting dust out of PC's is the long thin suction hose that fits over the handle and has a tiny push up push down brush on the end of its tiny crevice.

Mind you, if you had another vacuum cleaner like a Bosch cylinder vac, you could use the same tools as they have the same 3.5mm measurement.
