Hi guys, just had my het200 out of the box for the second time. Still really impressed with the power from such a small output motor. Assuming the wessel werk floor head contributes to the performance and also I have noticed the hose is very thick at the entry of the machine but not wand end similar to some dc08 models.

Anyway I am sure you are all aware that this 580w model didn't stay around for long and that they went back go the original style hi lo switch. Doesn't anyone know why they did this or has anyone approached numatic.

Also what was your favourite motor setup on the numatic machines? I had the 1200w autosave before this hetty. I must say I prefer the single speed and that large power light looks pretty cool. ")

They haven't exactly gone back to the hi-lo models. The newer Numatic's are 600w with a 2 speed motor - no autosave.

I much prefer the 580w models over the previous 1200w models too and that new floorhead makes the world of difference on carpet.

Hairdryer lol. Doesn't anyone still use the paper bags in the numatic machines? Are they any better than the cloth ones.

Oh yes i like Henrys but 620w seems a bit low for a cylinder cleaner they need a bit more power to pull through a long hose. Uprights are fine at around 700w.

I think you might see more cylinder cleaners come with PN in future when the EU limit goes down to 900w

As the owner of the Eco-Henry with 580 watts, the suction is just as effective as the older 1200 watt ones. Numatic have no worries - their sealed suction AND sealed dust bags seem to keep the power going.

It makes no sense to me why more cylinders will come to the UK with powered brush rolls though. Fine if the hose and brush roll are jammed on permanently; that way the brush rolls would have to deal with hard floor cleaning as well - but I think that defeats the purpose of a cylinder vacuum in general.

The easiest way of seeing how it would work is if brands are afraid that their pick up tests will be finally investigated and results fairly shown. I can forsee that a 500 watt cylinder vac with a powerful brush roll would justify a good enough rating, but one forgets that it isn't just carpet performance that these vacuums must excel in.

I defiantly prefer the 580W. The auto save seemed to me (no offense!) a bit of a daft idea. I can clean fine with 580W

My Aunty has one and I have used it loads and loads of times when I visit etc :) so I know what they are like
