<span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: medium;">Look at the color of this Model XXX handle! Of course it's a replacement but appears to be the genuine article. I've never seen one in such a bright turquoise before, only the darker turquoise color of the LX trim.</span>

Hmmm, maybe that handle was replaced at the time of the Turquoise model G?
Kinda looks like a turq. model G hose too?
Dont you just love the black electrical tape and all!?
Ha, How nice of the seller to charge 100 dollars for the old hose and tape.

Ive always been kinda scared of this model Lux. When i was a kid, An elderly neighbor man had one he used in his garage for cleaning out cars, ect,,and there must have been a short in the electrical connection because if you touched any part of the metal of the Lux,, even the metal runners, you would get a terrible shock. There were no bare wires showing or anything, and the Lux looked safe enough, but i found out different one time.
Have been leary of these old Lux's ever since.

that handle is not a genuine electrolux model 30 handle . no way no how !
some bojack stuff but not from the factory . forget the model g . the g was not the same color either.
as for shocks , better off replacing your 57 chevy's first !
the model 30 had really no electrical shock problems until people/wrong type of repair person messed with them .
the hose was not electrical like later models . but people did skid them through wet floors and vaced up wet stuff and then .... well you get what you deserve . this was never intended as a wet vac but over the years i have heard and seen much worse scenarios then simply vac some water up !

I have a..

Vintage Eureka upright and the handle needs to be rewired because there are exposed wires touching the inside of the metal handle near the switch. I found out it needed to be rewired the hard way..... LOL
