I picked up an Amway ClearTrak, untested and cordless, from the Flea Market yesterday. Saw it in a pick-up loaded down with cordless vacuums, and asked! Figured it would be good for messy jobs, I know of a store with a ton of ClearTraks for in-home use! Anyhow, $7 went to $5 and we met in the middle at $6! Noticed it was dripping some water when i got out of the Flea Market,

Anyhow, the motor is toast. like, TOTALLY toast! surprising since the ClearTrak uses an American-Made Amtek-Lamb motor. The number for the motor is 116932-01, does anyone know of any common plasti-vacs that uses this style of motor? I would buy a new motor if this machine was meant for household service and not mess-jobs, but since the unit is missing a cord and a hose, I'll just pick-up another Amway for household use sometime in the future. For all I know, one of the other cord-less vacuums in that truck could've had a replacement motor in it!

The Dirt Devil that uses the type C bags, uses the same motor. When I had my vac shop, I probably fixed almost 100 Clear Traks using Dirt Devil motors. The 7 amp motor fits perfectly.

Thanks! There was one in the same truck as the Amway! Something in me said, 'Alex, why not grab that Dirt Devil, too?' When I saw that Thing! I should've listened to my vacuum-sense! I hope it's still there!
