I went to a local Vac Shop that I somewhat work at today, and there, in the back, was an old beat up Sanitaire sitting next to a pile of junk. He said it was in the garbage next to his house, and he had to grab it. I asked him if he would part with it and his reply was "It's yours". So i took it home, and works absolutely perfectly, just needed a new belt and a clean up. The cord has a few tears in it, and it is not perfectly white, but it is fine with me. It also has the magnet on the front to pick up metal objects so they do not damage the fan. It will be a great daily driver!

The magnet really bothered me, so I took that. The people also had the bag upside down, so it was restricting air flow, and the paper fill tube was clogged. It also needed a new brushroll. Now, it looks and runs VERY nice. It is very quite, and now that the bag issue is fixed, it really does lock onto the carpeting.
