I have this nice Tuec 190 stationary vacuum installed in the basement of my 1910 home. Anyone interested?

1910 Tuec

Great example of how modern and complete a deluxe 1910 house could be and makes the plastic 'thing' next to it look like a toy!Would would nice to see pictures of hose, outlets, switches, tools(if any remain in house),etc. Is it working?.Any idea of history of when the home might have added a Hoover,Electrolux or similar vac and stopped using the Tuec?
Should be some interest that might depend on distance and weight.Your house was way before plastic pipe, fiberglass tubs & particleboard.

At the looks of that Tuec central unit--looks HEAVY--would be expensive to ship!!!!Would imagine it would have to be crated and be shipped by truck. The what looks like a floor-carpet machine beside it-yes,the floor machine is a toy compared to that ALL METAL Tuec!And--just what lurks inside the Tuecs drum?Does the machine still run?Would guess that beast must run off 220-240V?

All of the Tuec machines I have seen run on 110V. You have to remember that having 220V in a house was not common at the turn of the century.

Cool machine! Looks to be in great shape, and I bet it runs! Shame somebody disconnected the electrical supply.

I spy the original hose behind it, though it's clearly shot. The logo (early and more ornate than machines made in 1912 or after, painted on instead of a separate brass plate) indicates it's a Model 170. To confirm, look at the brass tag above the motor terminal box. Model 170 has a 0.5 HP motor, the 190 would be 0.7 HP.

Both models are 120 volt. The only example I've seen of the next model up (210, 0.9 HP) was 240 volt, though at that time I believe they would build the machine to suit whatever type of electrical service you had in your home.

This model probably weighs around 250lb. Not beyond the capabilities of one or two people and an appliance dolly. Very top-heavy though. Make sure it doesn't get away from you!
