Great photo

Fred, that pic is great. The lines are really nice, great shape, obviously well-maintained and in perfect condition, pristine, unblemished texture. Congrats!

The vacuum is nice, too.

A word of warning

Be very careful about not running over the cord with these style Panasonics. They are very good at slicing little strips off the cord down to the wires. It's really their only fault.

I will also add, on cheap oriental knock off rugs, impossible to push if the nap is laid down. Perhaps that squeegee on the bottom? It took mine out of daily driver status.

Kyle, I like the full-size red Panasonic there that's your favorite. Here's something you probably didn't know about it though....Lewyt, when the name was resurrected in the late 1990's by SMC, copied this exact Panasonic. The only differences they made was:

1. The Lewyts bag cover was a little more rounded.
2. Lewyt incorporated a large foldout stair-cleaning handle around the motor compartment, and there was also a HEPA filter and lighted bag check light there as well.
3. The powerhead is the same one Panasonic uses on the Performance Plus Platinum line sold in vac shops, except Lewyt added height adjustment & their brushrolls are wooden, not metal like Panasonic (although they did have a metal bottom plate).

I have a Lewyt brochure from when SMC started using the name again & re-launched, so if I can get my camera to take a clear picture of the page they are on, I will post for everyone here.

My Favorite Panasonics..

I don't know what to call the first one, because it's just a Panasonic, I think it is from 1989. The second is a Performance Plus, and I want to say that it is from 1996 but I'm not entirely sure about that.

The one on the left I just call the "dirt sensor" . I picked up a very clean one a couple of years ago and leave it over at my moms house for her cleaning help to use.

Those 3/4 sized Jet Flo dual-purposes, love em. They're very practical and easy to use.. especially if you live in a small house or apartment with a lot of tight spaces to vacuum around, compared to using the full sized machines.
