That's a Model LX in that box. The cord has a replacement plug on it. The filters are NOT for that model (they are for a model 30). Would love to see everything in the box.

And the hose is faded. And appears to be stiff. The machine has probably sat up in someone's attic for decades. I'm always wary of auctions and listings for vintage "brand new in the box" machines.

I always think back to an auction quite a few years ago for an Electrolux XXX "bnitb" on eBay. It looked gorgeous in the photos, the hose appeared as vivid and bright in color as any I've seen as an adult. Bidding went past $300 -- a LOT in those early days.

I heard through the grapevine that the collector who won it discovered when it arrived that the hose was absolutely petrified -- the rubber core was as solid as a rock and the hose was absolutely un-bendable. A tiny detail that the seller "overlooked" and made no mention of.

In the brief glimpse of the rear cover, it's not shiny, or new, this has been used, it's not even packed right. According to the packing material of the original box Tom Gasko gave me at the V.C.C.C. meeting in 1993, the wands were in a cardboard holder at the bottom of the box, and the hose followed the contours of the box, also on the bottom. I doubt if the companion (ride on tool holder) was in place. As for the cordwinder, power polisher, garment bag, spray gun, vaporizer, and each of the attachments, they were all in separate boxes.

If I had the money to spare, I'd buy it for the box alone, but, I also want to see everything that goes with it. If the bag is wrong, and yes, Tom's right that's a model XXX, who knows what other miss matched tools there are.

As I was only two years old when this model was sold, I'm guessing on the packing of the box.
