Hello to all !

I've just joined the forum after lurking for a while & looking at the pic's & threads.

I don't claim to be any sort of expert on vacuums but my interest (& very modest collection) is certainly growing, so I figure i'm in the right place here.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Vacuumland, David!

We are a great international family of "cleanerphiles" from the USA and the UK and Canada and Australia and South Africa and even far-flung Finland....

Our motto should be "working for a cleaner world"!!!!! :-)

Nice to see more new members creeping out of the woodwork :). A very warm welcome indeed! Looking forward to seeing some pics of your collection.

Welcome Dave,
I know you will have fun here, as well as learning from the experts. I had roughly ten years in the vacuum business and a lifetime of interest... and I learn new things all the time. This is a great place to learn, explore and exchange ideas and interests.
Again, Welcome.
Justin

Hi

Thanks for the warm welcome.
My collection at the moment consists of our old house Miele S251i from the 90's (superb machine that never misses a beat) & my recently acquired Numatics.
We bought a new Henry recently as I just wanted one & it's rather gone on from there.. I now have a cream & brown Henry & a couple of commercial type ones & i'm looking for more (particularly a David).
I think the interest in vacuums probably has always been there as I remember well the Hoover Constellation & 1st series Hoover Senior we had when I was a boy. The Senior was a creamy grey with pink trim (I think) & had a footswitch that stuck out, having googled it & looked on here, it looks like the first type (it was bought circa 1960). It was beast - wish mum still had it !
Cheers
Dave
