Nice vacs. I especially like those Miele shapes even more than the new rounded design.
The Nilfisks always make me think of a draft beer keg LOL

The nilfisk cleaners are not my favorites but the older models are ok. Miele are my favorites i have all the models from the late sixties.

Great Collection

I checked out your site. You have a great collection. Especially cool is the National vacuum from Holland that looks like a piece of furniture. Very cool indeed!

Love those Nilfisk vacuums-especially the "Silver Bullet" one in the first picture-just about got one of those from where I work-a cleaning contractor left one and when that contractor left-they forgot the nilfisk vacuum.I asked about it-been here for a few months-and "If they don't come back for it-its yours!"Well they came back and picked it up.Darn!I have seen the GS 90 sold in a vacuum store in Denton Texas-just north of Dallas.

WOWWWW!
I love your new vacuum cleaners!
I am looking for a Nilfisk GA 70 too, there are some on ebay germany but go very high in price. Love the voltas also, I own one which is probably a more recent version of yours (the red one I mean) and also the Mieles, I have a 236 but yours is in better conditions and complete, as I see in the pictures and have recently purchased a mod 240 (if I remember correctly) in the same red as yours but with electric hose with switch, power adjustment and powernozzle!
Compliments!

Hello Edgar,

Good to here from you. You certainly seem to have good luck in picking up presentable machines from dating from @ 1970 onwards....your finds always bring back memories for me !!

I bought a brand new GS80 with extras in Feb 92...I think I bought it at the best time, although it was the best part of £300, as nilfisk began to deviate from their classic design in machines and tools.

I have a volta 201 type and is 650 watts and probably the best design of the 70's; not many voltas over here ?

The electrolux cylinder is obviously the european version of UK LUTON built late 87 (@ 1976-79) 550 watts; UK entry level model (my first 'new' cleaner) @ £18.....a great little vac probably the best lux then offered over here at the time !!

I think I can remember a mustard / green type miele like the one in this thread, available in the UK in the 80's.....very expensive over here.....built like a tank and only available through a limited number of upmarket retailers......nearly £150 was a lot then !!

Regards, Walter, UK.

Walter,

Volta is a rare find over here to. I am still looking for the bleu version.

Nilfisk is expensive over here to the classic nilfisk gs 80 is still being sold an costs about 480 euro.

The mustard green miele was the S230 indeed build like a tank and better priced over here than in the uk and over seas. I think the prices they sell them for in for example the us are shocking.

by the way, how they look now is not how i find them :-)) it usely isa lot of work to get them back in shape.

Hello Edgar,

Yes, even the best of them need time and attention !!!

Over here the blue voltas came out as tridents around 1973. I loved them....I remember using one when brand new....one of the best 'sealed motor unit' luxes ever made!!!
