Hi Guys,

I collect hand vacuums of all brands and usually buy every new one I see that is under $100 bucks. This one caught my eye and I had to have it!

Anyhow, I found this cool new Wet and Dry Cordless Hand Vacuum by Dirt Devil at Walmart tonight and it was $35 bucks! I like the Wet vacs as I am rather clumsy and if I spill a beverage I can grab this quickly and suck up as much of the water as possible before I clean up the rest of the spill with a carpet washer, etc.

It’s charging right now as we just got home, so I only felt the suction initially with it’s partial charge and I was rather impressed. It’s also my Favorite Color Blue as I don’t like the DD color Red, so most of my other Dirt Devils are the Purple and Blue ones. I included pictures of the box for the specs in case anyone else is interested and a picture of the little rubber squeegee attachment for sucking up water.

Anyway, I wanted to share this with everybody as I have not seen Dirt Devil make a Wet hand vacuum since their NiCad versions long since discontinued on the DD website. I thought this 16 volt Lithium Ion Model was cool and I was happy to see them offer a new one for wet pickup. If they still do have Wet/Dry vacuums, they are on Amazon or eBay. I just checked the DD website and couldn’t even find this hand vacuum yet. Please let me know what you think and in the next few days I hope to put it through it’s paces and post the results on this thread.

Now if only Dyson would offer a Wet and Dry Cordless Hand Vacuum.. LOL

Ok, Thanks Everybody!

Very interesting. I'm, thinking this would only work on fresh spills and nothing that's been there awhile. I could have used this last year when my dog was ill and was puking every few days.

Yes.. I agree and that’s the main reason I got it. I have it right by my chair in the living room and since I’m a bit clumsy, I can grab it immediately to suck up spilled iced tea or soda. Then I just get the Carpet Cleaner out to remove (hopefully) the stain part of the spill. Our new area rug has a great treatment as I’ve already had part of a Code Red Mt. Dew spilled on the light cream and grey area rug... thankfully it blotted right up and a rag with a dab of Oxi Carpet Shampoo and it’s like new!

This little Dirt Devil fully charged in under 2 hours but I have no idea how much of a charge it had from the factory? I then poured water on the tile floor, three types of carpet and on the sofa.. it did an excellent job extracting the water and actually surprised me how quickly it then dried.

Highly recommend for small, quick spills and dry vacuuming was pretty good considering no spinning brushroll... got the lint and Pet hair right off the chair.
