That's a shame. Can they legally demand that the machine is given back to them? Or is it like buying a stolen car (Ringer) and you get it taken off you by the police even though you paid someone for it in good faith.

I must admit that price of £45 and the lack of any product ID seemed a little suspicious.

When something seems too good to be true - usually it is.

The one thing is - was it really Shark that contacted Ryan? It could be anyone that wants the cleaner masquerading as Shark?

So I asked my mum If They Can take it. they have no right To take the item so you Can keep it My mum used to work for a place That helps people with the same situation So if you say no to shark and put the video up They can't do anything about lol

If the machine was stolen and subsequently sold on, then I don't think Ryan will be able to keep it. He is also a Police officer as far as I know, so he wont want to bring the force into disrepute by keeping a suspicious or possibly stolen item, against its owner's wishes.

'Shark' better prove they're shark,

Or else why should Ryan have to send it off? Like as mentioned above, this 'Shark' may not be Shark. A jealous collector, the original seller regretting selling off a prototype, etc.

ANYONE can post messages to youtube, you can never be sure in this modern world!

The original seller may be a Shark employee now being threatened with the sack if he doesn't get that machine back!

I have also noticed Gumtree and Ebay seem swamped at the moment with Dyson DC54's going cheap - I wonder where all these came from, so many different sellers all selling them as unwanted gifts or some other reason.

Here in the US you can only get belts and bags for Sharks. Shark offers no parts for repair. You have to send it back to Shark then they send you a new or refurbished one.

Hopefully they gave you a nice unit in exchange for the ebay oops.

Lifft around

My shark lift around is china rubbish but I can't take it back because it was a present, oh well. The turbo head that Ryan had with his shark (the mini one) I kinda good though.

Well, I must say this new Shark canister looks really good!! It will give Dyson a good run for their money, especially since Dyson has decided not to design new powerhead canister models & stick to the turbinehead models instead. Consumers won't like that & will look for alternatives like this Shark. And it doesn't hurt that it is quiet, has swivel steering & overall good design. If this comes to Canada, I am definitely buying one!

The Shark Rocket stick vac is the one I bought, and returned due to being excessively loud. You can't begin to imagine how loud that tiny little motor would be, running on 240 volts. Until you get one, you can't imagine the shrill scream of that motor, and it's close to your ear because it's in your hand. The capacity is minimal, it feels heavy in your hand, and the filters dirty immediately. Given a choice between the Dyson hand vac and the Shark, the shark is a better value BUT it's so loud in use that you can't and won't want to, use it very long.

That's not the only Shark canister prototype. Tacony has the prototype for the US version in the engineering department. It was sent to us by the manufacturer (not Shark), as we were thinking of sourcing the power nozzle for a Fuller Brush brand canister. You wouldn't believe how many prototypes we receive from China of machines that appear one or two years later under assorted brand names.

Every time I think of shark I think about the stupid grinning idiot woman and the overly dramatic man advertising the early h2o mops on thane direct!

As said before though, if they hit it off over here I could be tempted. As long as they keep the power head and don't cheapen it
