Hi guys

This is my first post in a long time, I took a bit of a step back from vacuums because I was sidetracked with work/cars/moving house etc

Is anyone able to tell me about this strange little beast? I picked it up brand new on ebay for just £45. The seller stated that it was one of three sales samples. I can totally believe this because as of yet, I've not been able to find any real info about this particular model.

It arrived today and is totally devoid of any ratings plate of information as to where it has come from etc, also the fitted plug has been removed and a standard UK plug fitted so i'm guessing it wasn't intended for the British market.

However, first impressions are fantastic! i'm really happy with it

Looks great, and equipped with an electric power nozzle to boot. I know some love them while others hate them, but it's always good to see more choices in that particular category. The machine itself seems rather quiet too, especially for a bagless, and that removable chassis is genius.

What kind of separation system does it have - is it a Dyson clone of sorts, or direct filter, and how resistant is it to clogging?

Got to say some of the Shark and Morphy Richards vacs coming out at the moment do look very good, even more so when you compare the price to the competition. And they seem to be getting a lot of positive reviews as well from what I've read.

Enjoy, and let us know more about it as you put it through its paces!

it has a single cyclone set up with a washable foam pre-motor filter. As can be seen from the pics it seems to be relatively resistant to clogging. I've certainly not experienced any loss of suction as of yet but then again, my carpets are fairly clean lol

well, i've just finished vacuuming the upstairs carpets and downstairs rug and this is what my Filter Queen and Miele S7 have left behind!

I've seen other Shark vacuums offered by that Ebay seller but was put off by the absence of a proper fitted plug and wondered if they were suitable for the UK electricity supply.

I have just noticed that Shark have officially launched the Rotator Lift Away and Rocket uprights but they are too expensive for me at the moment. Lets hope they release other models that the U.S. have soon.

well first impressions are good, i'd happily pay good money for a decent bagless cylinder with a powerhead. I hope Shark take off in the UK

Hi everyone I have some good news They are going to release the shark rocket I found online that the Shark rocket is coming out and the cylinder Vacuum cleaner It's just not on the website yet I think I am Going to buy a shark rocket for my mum I am so excited :):):):)

You have no idea how loud the Rocket is. I bought one from China Mart to try out, and took it back the next day. I thought the tornado sirens were going off. Deafeningly loud. The power nozzle on the cylinder vac is the same as the nozzle on the Rocket. If any part of it breaks (wheel, brush roller) the entire assembly has to be replaced - no individual parts for it.

That actually sounds rather pleasant. I think it looks pretty good and sounds pretty good for a Shark. It also has a wire reinforced hose versus most of the springy hoses that come with canisters today. I wonder if it will come into production in either the U.K. or the U.S.

I got in from work today and I thought blimey! the carpets still look and feel great after using the Shark yesterday, they're all fluffy and springy

So yesterday I gave shark a ring And they said The shark rocket Will definitely come out just don't know when She said maybe in a month or so So hopefully the canister comes out to. And I also asked What accessories Comes with the rotator You get the Caddy to turn into a canister and the turbo brush straight suction nozzle and the Crevice tool and dusting brush .I like the colour I prefer the The red-and-white.Is anyone Going to get one.And she said that Currys in Suffolk Sell them And she said that hopefully other retailers will have them There just waiting for The retailers to Say y

Didn't you import one Josh a red and white one??? I will deffo get the rocket stick vac when the price falls after they have been one sale for a month or two or hopefully Amazon will have a good price on them.

Yeah I did import one But it got damage in transit then I fixed it and sold it I'm going To wait for the rocket to come out Then I will buy the rotator then I will buy the rocket Then I will have a Set So what rocket are you talking about the one that got on sale now or the one that Is like the Dyson handheld

As far as bagless cleaners go, the morphy Richards/Shark vacuums are the ebst in my experience. I also think that these types of cyclones - single, as the most efficient. They never seem to clog. I am still impressed with my morphy Richards branded navigator lift away and am thrilled that the rotator has landed in the UK.

So is this model a mass market cleaner? Only I cant see it on Shark US product page. I will admit it looks great. And di it really pull that muck out that even your Miele left behind ?

Also, how decent is the brush bar? Are the bristle soft, dense or both? Only that is a slight problem with the previous sharks, which I found on ymy hall and living room carpets which are densely pilled.

Josh, I'd be looking at the Dyson stick copy Rocket can't wait for them to launch it, really hope they Lso offer the accessories that they do in the US like the powered turbobrush and the hard floor tool with microfibre cloth!

Had a message from Shark today...

So i've just received a message from Shark on Youtube and they want their rotator canister back unfortunately lol it turns out that it was one of 3 top secret new samples sent to the UK for evaluation and testing. How they ended up on ebay I don't know.

They've kindly offered to compensate me and have offered me another Shark product to replace it and they have asked me nicely to take down my youtube video for now. They're expecting it to hit the UK market later this year but the exact specification is not yet known.

So there you go folks! you saw it here first. A little sneak preview of whats possibly to come from Shark

To answer your questions the brush roll is fairly stiff, not as stiff as the Miele S7 which is why I am surprised it picked up so much. The Miele has only recently been serviced too. The Shark has performed very well on all surfaces i've tested it on including short pile and shag

Oh my god that's so bad Maybe the guy stole them If it was me I wouldn't give it back I would keep it Legally they can't actually Do anything about so it's up to you But I would keep.Say to them I'll traded it for a shark rotator lol

Thanks for your reply.

The brushroll look the same as the shark navigator lift away, minus the strip to cut threads, maybe the extra suction power helps, either way this is very impressive looking.

Well, that is interesting. Well if you look on shark US homepage, there is no mention of this. However, id you message them back with your opinion of it, considering you did test and evaluate it ?
