Same as my copper one but I love the aqua green (camera DOES NOT do it justice). To heck with it, these are good vacuums. I've criticized them in the past but the other is still going strong a few years later with monthly cleaning of the filters. The amount of gunk this thing can pull out of the carpet would rival that of what old Hoovers and others would pull. I always end up coming back to atleast one of these. The copper is still the daily runner but I had to get this because it also just felt really nostalgic for some reason. I don't like new vacuums in general but sometimes one comes out I can't pass up.

I have no issues with Shark vacuums. Some have bad designs, some have excellent designs, its a mixed bag. My only problem is for whatever reason after so many months of use - they start losing suction completely. Washed filters, checked all airpaths, everything clean. They just act like there's a massive air leak somewhere inside the vacuum. It's happened to 4 different models I have all bought from brand new. It's just baffling.

I wonder which sharks in particular. Our copper version of this is still going but it doesn't self propelled across the carpet anymore. This one still is but its new. But the copper one still gets a bunch of hidden gunk. The Dirt Devil I got also gets up a lard of crud from the rugs too.

I currently own a Shark robot vacuum, as well as a WandVac hand vacuum. Both have had no issues whatsoever. In addition, my mom owns a red Navigator Lift-Away with Zero-M (ZU561), which has been serving her very well since Christmas of 2022. The Zero-M brushroll actually works as it should, automatically de-tangling her long brown hair off of it.

However, I have heard of a design flaw with most current Sharks: defective power switches that are prone to shooting out sparks. This issue actually happened to Intellitech Studios. He had a blue ZU560 that was purchased directly from Shark; it was nearly identical to my mom's, except blue in color. After about two years of ownership, the power switch shot a large spark out, which shocked him and fried the entire vacuum. Apparently, Shark has not remedied this issue with all their current vacuums. And, to add insult to injury, there has not been a CPSC recall regarding these sparking rocker switches.

Because of this whole sparking switch issue, I'm very leery that it is going to happen to my mom's Shark one day.
