Have one of those-got it from the Royal dealer in my area.Has a replaceable cord-there is a pigtail on the machine-If the cord wears out you replace it with a 3 wire extension cord af any length you want.kinda nice.the household model has a two wire cord and a headlight.the machine is to compete with the Riccar Superlite and ---Oreck.both machines blow the Oreck out of the water!-and at half the cost.and yes the Lux machine is the same but at twice the price!!Hoover has a similar machine too-right across the street from the Royal dealer at Kohls.the place I got mine from is Greenville Vacuum and Sewing.Oh yes Riccar has a new version of their Superlite-has an improved fan and fan housing-and better overload protection for the motor-same OL protection as used on the Riccar Brilliance and Radiance.While trying the machine-the shop owner threw a rag down in front of the machine-the rag got partially ingested-but the motor and roller brush shut down immiediately to prevent damage.his newer machine sold the next day!!!
