Hi All

Today i've bought a New Old Stock 1980's Russian Vacuum.

I don't know anything about the Russian ones but if anyone can translate the rating plate for me it would be much appreciated.

Hope you like the pics.

Cheers

Mike

My best guess is

50Ru is 50Hz, 220B is 220 Volts and 600Bt is 600 Watts. I'm guessing that you can use it where you live? If so, how well does it work?

I can read Cyrillic.

MMPO Kommunar will be the factory, the brand is Chaika, model 10k.

ГОСT is GOST, it refers to the government agency that checks appliances. A B in Cyrillic is a V, so the 220B is simply 220v. The middle of the three words above the voltage I recognise as "work" (Rabotye) and the last word is "products" or "production". So the line above the voltages is something like "working specification of product" basically. 63p would normally mean 63 Roubles. I cant remember what Chena means (чена). Г represents year, so that tells us it is a 1980 model.

I can read Pilesos Bitovoi PNP600, I am not sure what those two words mean.

If you want a proper translation I'll ask my wife to do it. She is Russian.
