hi all, it appears they no longer make style one bags for the heritage anymore! i bought a new-old-stock pack of bags at my vac shop today, but i don't know if i should rip them open or not! those bags are at least 20 years old!

so what do you think i should do?

I feel the same way

I recently got some un-opened 1970s Eureka F&G bags and have decided NOT to use them, unless I find an absolutely mint Eureka from that era. I have also kept the last bag in a Hoover packet that was used on my family's Elite. If I ever found a NIB vacuum, I would never recycle the box, no madder what type of room it was taking up. It adds too much value if I were to sell it again.

I'm not sure why I feel this way. I tend to save money more than I spend as well. Anyway, a pack of Kirby bags is not going to take up much room, and 20 years is quite old for an unused vacuum part. I say keep it sealed.

Errrm, "Style 1" is the Tradition's bag, "Style 2" is the Heritage bag... :&#92

I got some NOS Style 1 bags a few years ago, and no, I'm not using them, mainly because there's not a cat in hell's chance of getting any more like it, that and my only Kirby that will take them is my Golden Trophy Tradition, and that no longer has a motor... :)

Plus, I like the poly. bags in my Trad, when it's assembled... :P

I just looked at the Kirby site

and they still list the Style 1 bags for the Tradition. They are only sold in 3 packs though and they don't show the price. I guess you have to call them.
