I also want to know is it going to be easier to change the belt on this new power nozzle compare to its previous ones. Also is it going to be easier to change the belt on the SRX version of the aquamate? Don't mind me asking but when purchasing a rainbow vaccum with the powernozzle do distributors give extra belts out incase theyre needed. If not, how much do belts typically run for? Also improvement (22) is called stainless steel brushroll. My question is how is that an improvment over the current wooden brushroll. Also can someone explain to me improvment #5 which is timer mode. What does that have to deal with?

The accessories are not going to be updated right away. As far as your questions go unless I or anyone can get their hands on one soon your questions are rather difficult to answer. As soon as I get one in stock at the warehouse I’m going to tear into it to answer any of my own questions, so with that being said my goal is to answer as many questions as I can when I get one in stock. Otherwise sadly your questions can not be answered at this time as there is very limited to no information other than what you see.

My questions have been answered.

I’ll just wait as long as it takes until I can see one in person. I’ve already put in a few calls to some dealers I know around Houston and Dallas. I suppose it’s just a matter of time.

So they moved the belt back to the center of the power nozzle? What were they thinking? No high quality power nozzles have stretch belts nor do they put them in the middle of the air path. Even the Kenmore power nozzles have geared belts.

Maybe their using a better belt. What I mean by that is the thickness of the belt could’ve gotten thicker. For example maybe the thickness of the rainbows belt is as thick as a Kirby’s belt, simple because the belt on a Kirby sits on the middle of a brush roll and it attaches to the motor while dirt and debris flow through it. So maybe Rexair but the bet in the center of the brush but incorporated a thicker belt material. Does any of that makes sense?

Well on direct air vacuums like Kirby, Sanitaire, etc there isn't any other option except to use a stretch belt in the center of the brushroll since that's where the fan is located. All those companies do is extend the motor shaft to attach the belt.

No one should have to worry about changing a belt on an expensive vacuum like the Rainbow. And it's frustrating since they improved the current power nozzle to use a side geared belt. It's badness to regress and go back to a stretch belt in the middle of the air path. The belt needs to be protected from dirt and debris. A good power nozzle also needs manual height adjustment. You would never see Sebo, Wessel-Werk, or Lindhaus put out such a substandard power nozzle.

Another new improvement they should’ve added

They also should’ve added a change dirty water indicator. Like after periods of time (of vacuuming) and the water gets gross and dirty and needs to be change, there should be a indicator letting you know when it needs to be changed. Does that makes sense?

I’m going to reserve my judgment until I see it in person.

For all we know the power nozzle image in the video could just be an artist’s rendering made just for the video. I apologize if I’ve opened up a rabbit hole with my comment and pic about the brush roll. I was simply making an observation based on what public information is available online at this time. We’re all limited to what we can find online and right now, it’s not too much. I would like to believe that Rainbow is using either a serpentine or geared belt, with some type of belt guard or cover in place to keep it out of the path of incoming dirt.

Other than the fb link that was provided, are there any other Facebook pages that have information/ videos on this new model? Also on average how long would it take to clear out the current e2 black inventory, that way the new SRX inventory can get stocked up.

Does anyone also know if I can purchase an SRX or even an E2 Black from a service center, or do I have to have it purchased through an in home demo? If purchased through a service center do they sell them new, used, refurbished, and do the prices for new unused units tend to be the same (in terms of price) as those sold through in home demos or are they cheaper. I ask this question because when my family used Kirby they would get them brand new from a service center but without the door to door price tag. I was wondering if rexair/rainbow do the same thing.

This sounds very promising and intriguing

I like the sound of this. I've always wanted a Rainbow but the scary high cost has kept me from considering it. I could really use the shampoo capability. This sounds totally worth the cost what with all the tools and so forth you get with this machine. Looks like they've increased the power of the Hurricane motor too.

Rexair continues to be a hotbed of technology. They continue to get better at it. They didn't manufacture their own power nozzles in the past but when they designed their own, it was a good one. No other machine has the combination of unique tools, features, and longevity (if taken care of properly).

A few features I really like about the Rainbow are the lighted water basin, the mini turbo brush with a headlight, the edge cleaning spin brushes, the rain jet, the rain pad, and the shampooer with upholstery tool. And doesn't it have a squeegee for windows now too?

Really great piece of equipment and the new one adds more bang for the buck. Really looking forward to seeing this.

Rexair power nozzles....

Rexair has made their own power nozzles since the first brown one on the D3a, after they stopped using the Eureka roto-matic nozzle.

One thing I noticed from that blurry video was that the motor unit of the machine seems to TILT backwards on a hinge. They are claiming the water basin is slide out. It would appear that you no longer have to fool with latching and unlatching the machine to remove or insert the water basin. Or perhaps only one latch on the front instead of four. That would be a great ease of use improvement if so.

The comments about the power nozzle belt being moved to the center shouldn't be a surprise. They are advertising edged brush cleaning on both sides which makes a center belt inevitable. I do hope the belt is protected from debris. I'm adopting a wait and see approach as always.

Still looks promising.

As long as the power nozzle beats the heck out of my carpet in terms of cleaning it, it’s fine with me. Can someone post the launch video of it for me.
